Our primary launch site is Hamilton Farm Airstrip (TN25 7JJ), conveniently located just 10 minutes from Ashford International Station, making it an easy journey from London and the Home Counties.

As with all balloon flights, we travel with the wind, so the exact launch site may vary depending on conditions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. While Hamilton Farm Airstrip is our preferred location, we have several alternative sites nearby to accommodate different wind directions and ensure the best possible flight.

Wherever we take off, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of Kent’s rolling countryside, historic landmarks, and stunning landscapes—an unforgettable experience just a short trip from the capital.

We fly all year round, making the most of every flyable day to give you the best possible experience. During the summer months, we schedule flights morning and evening, seven days a week, so there are plenty of opportunities to take to the skies.

Even in winter, ballooning can be truly spectacular, with crisp air and breathtaking views. While flights are slightly more weather-dependent, we remain as flexible and accommodating as possible, working around conditions to get you flying whenever it’s safe to do so.

Every balloon flight is a true adventure, guided only by the wind! While you may be lucky enough to drift over your home, there are no guarantees—we simply go where the breeze takes us. That’s part of the magic of ballooning: an unpredictable, free-spirited journey through the skies, revealing breathtaking landscapes and hidden gems along the way. No two flights are ever the same, making each one an unforgettable experience!

Our balloon flights are designed to give you exceptional value for your time. The flight itself lasts about an hour, but the entire experience will take around 3 to 3.5 hours from when we meet to when we return to the meeting location. We believe in making every moment count, so we invite you to get involved from the very start—help with the rigging and inflation, and feel the excitement build as the balloon takes flight. After landing, we all pitch in to pack up before celebrating our adventure with some refreshing local drinks. It’s not just a flight; it’s a complete, immersive experience that offers far more than just an aerial view!

Our flights take place during the most magical times of the day—just after sunrise or a few hours before sunset—when the air is calm, and the skies are at their most serene. At High Adventures, we pride ourselves on providing a bespoke and flexible service. Unlike large national companies, we don’t have long waiting lists or use impersonal call centre booking systems. We focus exclusively on this beautiful area, meaning we can schedule your flight when the weather is perfect for an unforgettable experience. We work around your availability and preferences, offering a more personal, tailored approach to ensure you can fly at your convenience.

Generally, it’s warmer in the balloon than on the ground, as the balloon flies with the wind, meaning there’s no breeze during the flight. You’ll be able to relax and enjoy the ride in comfort. We recommend wearing normal outdoor clothing and comfortable footwear, just like you would for a scenic country walk. This ensures you’ll be dressed perfectly for the adventure, whether it’s a sunny morning or a crisp evening flight.

There is no legal age limit for balloon flights, but we recommend that children be at least 6-7 years old and 4 feet tall to ensure they can comfortably see over the basket. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.

On the other end of the spectrum, there is no upper age limit as long as you are in good health and reasonably fit to get in and out of the basket. In fact, we’ve had the pleasure of flying with two sisters aged 91 and 95! It’s all about ensuring comfort and safety for everyone on board.
